We formed in 2016, out of a mutual desire to fuse storytelling and live music with radical political ideas and raucous theatricality. Inspired by our politics and experiences as activists, we aim to create boldly political theatre that presents stories and characters that challenge injustice and social norms. Vandal Factory is committed to transforming active audiences into activists. Vandal Factory currently consists of director Natalie Quatermass and writer/performer Henry Raby
Separately, Henry formed poetry organisation Say Owt in York and as an artist has received support from Apples and Snakes, Pilot Theatre and Red Ladder. As a director and facilitator Natalie has worked for Freedom Studios, York Theatre Royal, York Shakespeare Project, Lancaster University and the Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp, Palestine.
