WHATEVER HAPPENED TO VANDAL RAPTOR?
Whatever Happened To Vandal Raptor? was Vandal Factory's debut show about punk, poetry and three chords. Henry Raby is a punk poet, activist and nearly 30. This is his tribute to punk rock. With heartfelt story-telling, spikey spoken word and terrible (but tenacious) live music Henry rips through ideas of rebellion, growing up and friendship. Despite being fictional, Vandal Raptor are the greatest dinosaur-themed punk band you've never heard of. Snarling through songs and snapping strings, they thought they'd change the world.... Until they broke up and grew up. 10 years later they're accidentally reunited in their old stomping ground. Has their passion for DIY and protest gone extinct, or still roaring loud? Whatever Happened To Vandal Raptor? toured the UK in April 2018. It played in DIY spaces and theatres across Durham, Hull, York, Leeds, Bristol, Derby, London and The Wirral. "Whatever Happened to Vandal Raptor? is a perfect demonstration of a performance as protest, performance as change, and how one person can make a difference by creating a space where people can be brought together." Broadway Baby ★★★★★ "His vivid use of description and ability to illustrate a scene meant that it felt like the four characters in the story were in the room with us." - York Press |
